Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pelaa software ("Pelaa", "the Software") and the website at pelaa.tv, both provided by IB Enterprises Oy (Y-tunnus 3365722-8, Likolammintie 15, 49860 Klamila, Finland; "we", "us"). By purchasing or using Pelaa you agree to these Terms.
1. The product
Pelaa is a macOS application for tagging, organising, annotating, and exporting sports video. It is licensed, not sold.
2. License
You must be at least 16 years old (or of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and able to enter a binding contract to purchase and use Pelaa. If you are purchasing on behalf of a team, club, school, or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it to these Terms.
Subject to your payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use Pelaa on Mac devices that you own or control, for your own coaching, analysis, or business purposes. The license is granted per individual user.
Activations. Coach Monthly and Coach Annual may be active on up to 2 Macs at the same time. Founding Lifetime may be active on up to 3 Macs at the same time. You can release a device at any time from Pelaa → License → Deactivate This Mac; once released, the activation slot is free to reuse on another Mac.
You may not redistribute Pelaa, resell licenses, share license keys with other people, reverse engineer the application, or use it to build a competing product.
3. Free trial
Pelaa includes a 14-day free trial that runs inside the application. The trial starts when you enter an email address on first launch and confirm it with the verification code we send to it; no payment method is collected and no charge is or can be made during or after the trial unless you separately purchase a plan. When the trial ends, the application asks you to subscribe; if you do nothing, the trial simply ends and the application locks. One trial is offered per person and per device. The Founding Lifetime tier is sold without a trial and is charged once at checkout.
4. Payment and renewals
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), who acts as Merchant of Record for your purchase. This means Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, tax invoicing, and refund processing in your jurisdiction; IB Enterprises Oy provides the Pelaa software and support. Your purchase transaction is governed by Lemon Squeezy's terms (shown at checkout); your right to use Pelaa is governed by these Terms. By purchasing you accept both.
Subscription tiers renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal Lemon Squeezy provides (link included in your purchase confirmation email); cancellation prevents future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current cycle except as described below.
5. Refunds and right of withdrawal
For the standalone refund policy, see pelaa.tv/refunds. The summary below is the contractual version.
14-day refund policy. We offer a 14-day refund on all purchases — Coach Monthly, Coach Annual, and Founding Lifetime. If Pelaa is not for you, email support@pelaa.tv within 14 days of your purchase date with your order number and we will request a full refund from Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy issues the refund to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not require a reason, but feedback is welcome and helps us improve Pelaa.
Subscriptions and trials. The 14-day free trial collects no payment method, so no charge can arise from it. A subscription begins only when you purchase one at checkout. Once a subscription is active, you can cancel future renewals at any time from your customer portal. The 14-day refund window above also applies to the first paid billing cycle of a new subscription.
EU statutory right of withdrawal. For one-time purchases (Founding Lifetime tier), Pelaa is supplied as a digital service that is made available immediately at checkout. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki 38/1978, Chapter 6, §16), you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has begun to be supplied (i.e. once your license key and download are made available). This statutory waiver does not affect the voluntary 14-day refund policy above, nor your rights in respect of defective service or non-conformity with these Terms.
6. Updates and availability
We continue to develop Pelaa and will release updates. Some updates may add, change, or remove features. We aim to keep the website and license validation services available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the videos and other content you process with Pelaa, including making sure you have the rights to use that content. You are responsible for keeping your license key and customer account secure.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pelaa for any unlawful purpose, to infringe other people's rights, or in a way that could damage our infrastructure or reputation.
9. Intellectual property
Pelaa, the Pelaa name, the Pelaa logo, and all related software, designs, and documentation are owned by IB Enterprises Oy or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Software to you; you receive only the license described above.
10. Warranty disclaimer
Pelaa is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Mandatory consumer rights under Finnish and EU law are not affected by this disclaimer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Pelaa is limited to the fees you paid for Pelaa in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by this section.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pelaa at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including failure to pay or violation of the license restrictions. On termination your right to use Pelaa ends, but sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers, and continued use of Pelaa after the change indicates acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Finland. EU consumers also have the right to bring claims in the courts of their country of residence and to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
