“An intuitive, smooth and modern video tool that’s easy to use at every level. The Four Quadrants feature works especially well.”

Built by a coach who lives the workflow.

I coach hockey in Finland — three seasons in. For five seasons before that, I did the video work in elite pro hockey — the level the top of the sport builds its workflow around — season after season.

The tool I had then was the industry standard — capable, fast, deeply flexible. But living inside it season after season, I could feel where it stopped short. The keystroke that wasn't there. The window I had to chase. The annotation option I didn't have. Small frictions, but they stacked. I started designing in my head what closing them would look like. When I moved, that tool was gone. The one I picked up instead was the opposite problem — unintuitive, laggy, glitching at the worst moments. By then I had a clearer picture than either tool offered — not a feature list, but a workflow where every detail closes the distance between a thought and a finished clip.

So I built Pelaa. Every shortcut, every export, every keystroke is shaped by the real job — the one I do now: cutting clips after the game, building the team's next video session, turning around a private-client player review in twenty minutes instead of an hour. The core of an enterprise coaching platform — streamlined, native, on one Mac, at a fraction of the price.

Note — How billing works

Subscription tiers come with a 14-day free trial. Your payment method is collected at checkout, but no charge is made during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the card is charged automatically for the first billing cycle and the subscription begins. Renewals charge automatically on each billing cycle thereafter. The Founding Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase charged once at checkout, with no recurring billing. Payments are processed by our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record, which handles tax and invoicing in your country.

Things people ask before joining.

Why is the app called Pelaa?

Pelaa is Finnish, and it carries more than its English translation suggests. Se pelaa is what a Finn says when something just works — when the whole thing is running, humming, doing its job. Pelata yhteen is what separate parts do when they mesh into one motion. Pelata peliä is what coaches live inside — running the play. And pelaa on its own is the imperative: play it.

One name, the whole loop: the sport, the footage, the tactical play, and a workspace where every piece fits together and runs.

Is Pelaa only for hockey?

No — the workflow is sport-agnostic. Tag moments, stack clips, annotate stop frames, export. Any coach working with game or performance video can use Pelaa the same way, across team sports and individual performance disciplines alike. Hockey is the sport I built it from because that's my background — the product itself is general.

What's required to run Pelaa?

macOS 12 Monterey or later. Apple Silicon (M1 or later) recommended for the smoothest scrubbing and export. Pelaa runs on Intel Macs running Monterey, but performance will be best on Apple Silicon.

Is Pelaa available now?

Yes. Pelaa runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later. Every subscription tier includes a 14-day free trial; the Founding Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase limited to the first 20 customers.

Can I try Pelaa before buying?

Yes. Coach Monthly and Coach Annual both include a 14-day free trial. Your payment method is collected at checkout, but no charge is made until day 15. Cancel before then and you are never charged.

What happens after my trial ends?

If you do nothing, your card is charged for the first billing cycle and your subscription begins. You can cancel at any time from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your confirmation email; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the current cycle.

What's the refund policy?

Subscription tiers come with a 14-day free trial, so cancelling before day 14 prevents any charge. After that, all purchases (subscriptions and Founding Lifetime) are covered by our 14-day refund policy and EU consumer protection law. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy on our request.

How do I get support?

Email support@pelaa.tv. We read every message and reply within one business day.
